In 1896, a 21-year-old Italian arrived in London with an idea nobody in Italy wanted to fund. He had no network, no office, no local connections. Within a year he had founded his first company in the UK and changed communication forever.
Guglielmo Marconi was not just an inventor. He was a founder. He left Italy because London gave him what Italy could not: capital, infrastructure, and the freedom to build.

The Marconi Circle is a private guild for Italians founding startups and scaleups in the United Kingdom, based in London, operating UK-wide.
A selective, high-trust community where members help each other build, fund, and scale, with the concrete mutual assistance that only people who have faced the same challenges can offer.

Founder dinners, dedicated events, peer groups by stage: pre-seed, seed, scaleup. Real conversations between people who understand the journey.
Warm introductions and founder-to-founder support on the challenges only we understand: visa, legal, HR, UK tax, company formation, accounting, funding. We work with trusted external service providers, with whom we aim to establish dedicated agreements for members, to support you where it matters most. And when things get hard, there is nothing better than having a beer together.
We want to be the interface between the Italian institutional world and the UK startup ecosystem, supporting Italians founding startups in the UK: Embassy, Consulate, ITA (formerly ICE), Chambers of Commerce, Italian regions, universities and incubators. We speak both languages, in every sense.
Angel syndicates, demo days, VC office hours, investor matching, investor dinners. We connect founders to capital and capital to founders. We also want to spread the word among wealthy Italians, and not only, on how to invest in startups founded by Italians in the UK through SEIS and EIS, two of the most generous tax relief schemes available to investors in the UK.

We keep the group selective not to be exclusive, but to keep the signal high and the trust real.
We use the word startup deliberately and broadly. A startup is not only a tech company. A startup is any venture designed to grow and scale worldwide beyond its founder.
